Begonia Maculata commonly referred to as the Polka dot Begonia, is undoubtedly one of the most strikingly gorgeous species of indoor plants. This exotic plant derives its name from its unique silver spotted leaves and red undersides. Begonia Maculata grows to about 1.5 m tall. The leaves are usually asymmetric, extending to approximately 20 cm in length.The upper surface of the leaf is dark green with silvery-white spots, while the reverse is red. Young leaves are pink to maroon in color.
Flowers usually form in single clusters and are white to pale pink. You should remove any wilted flowers on a regular basis to stimulate the growth of new ones.
Plant Care
Water
Water once a week or when the soil starts to become slightly dry at the top. Keep the soil lightly moist at all times, but do not overwater as this will cause brown spots and leaf drop. Curly or dry leaves suggest, the plant is dry and needs watering. Water in the early morning or late evening when temperatures are cooler. Always check your soil before watering.

Bright indoor light or indirect sun. 6 hours to 8 hours
Ambient
Maintain temperatures between 18°C - 24°C. Avoid draughts as these can create undesirable temperature fluctuations. Consider giving your plant an occasional misting twice every week to maintain the optimum humidity level.
Nutrients
